Brightstar Community helps women survivors of sexual exploitation and trafficking find healing, hope, and independence by increasing awareness and providing safe housing and a community of holistic care.

Brightstar Community is a registered 501c3 non-profit and has been helping women escape the sex industry in New York since 2020. We partner with women survivors of sex trafficking, abuse, and addiction to help them find healing, empowerment, and freedom.

We do this by providing free housing, economic independence, and a community of advocates.

The Women We Serve

Dedicated to helping women survivors recover and heal from prostitution, trafficking, and addiction.

Most of the women we serve first experienced sexual abuse between ages 7-11 and began using alcohol or drugs by age 13, and first hit the streets between the ages of 14 and 16.

Traumatic childhood experiences give way to:
