SAFE HOUSING
The only two-year residential program in Monroe County.
We are the only two-year residential program in Monroe County that helps adult women affected by addiction and sexual exploitation. By providing free housing, we create a safe place for recovery where survivors can uncover their true and authentic self. The two-year program includes individualized planning, counseling services, and career exploration as the women heal. Each woman that graduates from our program becomes a part of our Brightstar Community network, aiding other women in recovery and contributing positively to our Rochester community.
Our residential program is modeled after the successful evidence-based program at Thistle Farms, located in Nashville, Tennessee. For over 25 years they have helped sex trafficking survivors heal, stay sober, and maintain stability. This program has a 75% success rate by providing survivor-centered care and education in a residential environment, building programs on three key pillars: Health, Employment, Housing.

Program Overview
- We serve women 21 years or older
- The program lasts two years and is free of charge to residents
- We currently have one house that holds 4 residents
- Our house is in the City of Rochester, which allows our residents to utilize the city’s resources, learn to overcome triggers, and live in a community of accountability during and after the program.
